Cancellation Policy
How booking works
Reservations at Risum Resort can be made directly with us or through your licensed tour operator.
A confirmed booking secures your room in one of our warm, timber-clad cottages in the Haa Valley. If your plans change, the cancellation terms opposite apply. We recommend travelling with suitable travel insurance.

30 days or more before arrival — 50%
If a confirmed booking is cancelled or changed 30 days or more before your arrival date, 50% of the total booking value is charged.

Within 30 days of arrival — 100%
Cancellations within 30 days of arrival, no-shows and early departures are charged 100% of the total booking value.
If you need to cancel or change a confirmed booking for any reason, the charges above will apply. To make a booking enquiry or discuss a change, please contact us.
Reception, parking & payment
Front desk & room service
Our reception and in-room dining are available from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
Parking
Complimentary on-site parking for up to 25 vehicles.
Deposit & balance
A deposit may be requested to confirm your reservation; the balance is settled on or before departure.
Bhutan visa fees and the Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) are set by the Government of Bhutan, are separate from your room booking and are handled through your tour operator. See our Travel Policy for details.
